My surgery date is in 10 days and I’m having doubts and hoping I made the right choice. I’m so scared of the procedure and the hospital stay and the life changes.

It's incredibly scary, and I empathize with you because before surgery, I was having severe anxiety from the week before onwards. The day of I cried literally from the moment I woke up all the way to the hospital, almost hysterically. I managed to stop JUST before seeing my nurse, only to be split off from my husband right after. Then I started bawling again. XD

It's normal to be afraid, given it is a surgery, and if it is your first time, there's always the 'unknown' factor of not knowing what to expect. ..Is it your first time doing a surgery?

Generally your nurses and team will take great care of you as well, and know what to look for if anything should go wrong. If in doubt about anything, you should definitely contact your team and speak with them about your worries/fears. It also helps to research for yourself as well, and if you're willing, there are videos on Youtube of the various bariatric procedures to show you how it typically goes. (I watched several for the sleeve myself so I knew what I was in for.)

Otherwise, hang in there, and I think you'll be alright! ❤️ If you need someone to talk to, feel free to message me anytime!

I am going through the same. I am supposed to have surgery tomorrow and I am so back and forth I will decide I need to then change my mind. Idk if its because I miss food or if this is normal

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
