All my meds right out of the hospital were in pill form and I did not have trouble taking them. If you have issues, crush or check with the pharmacist for a liquid variant.

I concur with @Orchids&Dragons,

pills that were expected to be crushed. liquids by request.

I wasn't even told to crush my pills if I could swallow them whole, which I did.

I hope you get to feeling better! I did not have any pain ( i was one of the lucky ones) i woke up pain free from surgery. From what i hear though, most of the pain is gas pains. I would recommend you walk as much as you can and as often as you can as it helps relieve some of the gas.

I wish you a speedy recovery!

I was given percocet because my stomach was spasming for a few days post. I never crushed them.

I’m able to swallow them whole I just thought it was strange, thank everyone so much for the responses!!!! I have only had to take them twice. Walking and showers have been my main form of pain/soreness relief. I did have the spasms twice woke up with them in the middle of the night and I took the meds but trying to use alternative methods for any discomfort.

I found that warm fluids, chicken broth for instance, really helped with spasms. They were a blessing that first week. Anything really cold did not make my tummy happy.

I had pills too. I cut them up tiny and swallowed them. It was such a pain to swallow them that I switched to liquid Tylenol and then just stopped with pain meds all together.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
