Are you limiting yourself to 64 oz? You can drink more if you can handle it, just don't gulp. I was over 80 oz. at a week and drink way more than 100 every day now.

I am drinking about 40 to 50 oz a day due to my ulcer, but none of my labs indicate dehydration, but my mouth is dry nonstop. NON.STOP. It is actually driving me nuts. I think it's dry mouth and not thirst. Biotene helps a bit. If it continues by my next surgeon appt, I'm going to ask and will keep you posted.

I think ketosis can cause dry mouth.

Sip every few minutes. It’s hard to continually drink for me as I used to be a gulper. Some days I feel focused only on hydration and end up cutting back on Protein. Stop drinking 30 minutes prior to eating, 30 minutes to eat and 30 minutes wait after eating, heck that’s 4.5 hours a day of ZERO hydration which is tough. I switched up to some crystal light and it helped to drink more so try switching up flavors. Also broth is a liquid which counts.

Fellow Ketonian here...get some of this https://amzn.to/2zR69aF It's liquid electrolytes. Put it in whatever you're drinking. Also, if you can stomach it, see if you can take a sip of Pickle Juice. That's FULL of electrolytes.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
