I started at 210 at 5'6. I had my surgery on 9/16/17. Since then, I've been losing steadily and I'm concerned that I am at 110.... I am never able to eat much, and my hunger is gone!!!!! I have to remind myself to eat, and when I do, its like all a 2 year old could eat. Scared!

What did your surgeon, surgical team and nutritionist have to say?

What is your current BMI? How are all your bloods? What do your surgical team think and what advice have they given you

I'm sure you are scared with a BMI that is in the underweight range. Might be a good idea to contact your team.

I agree with other posters. If you keep dropping you need to contact your team and they may have you eat a bit differently to gain a little back. I have always thought the happy medium was to find the balance to where you werent losing nor gaining to maintain. I am not sure though as i have never been there, but your dr would know best. Keep us posted!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
