So, for the first time since my surgery, I gained weight this week. I gained 2.6 pounds. I know what I did though. I didn't track one day, and I over ate another day. I also didn't drink enough Water or eat enough Protein. Onward!

Yeah...welcome to maintenance. ;) It's too early for you to be here yet. Good that you know where you derailed and it's a learning experience. And sobering...

Get back at it girl!

Don't stress, it is highly unlikely that it is fat. Plenty of things effect the numbers on the scale. Fat gain and loss is really what we are all watching for, because it is unnecessary storage. Other fluctuations will happen regularly. Kudos on catching the pattern and repairing it quickly.

(I gain and lose every month. The joys of womanhood lol)

Safe Journey!

I'm still in week 1 and I know I have not gotten my Water in nor my 60gm of Protein daily. The Protein has come pretty close, but I'm wondering if it will impede weight loss or if the weight will just come off anyway?

If you're in your first week, just focus on doing your best. It's tough to get enough Water and protein in at first, cause you're still healing. Just do the best you can to get what your doctor recommends. I did see a loss my first week, but not everyone does. If you don't, it doesn't mean that it's not working; it just means that your body is still healing.

177 pounds down! Onward!!!!!!

Minor set back. First gain on the scale can mess with you a bit. Don't beat yourself down. Dust yourself off and get back to plan. Be consistent.

Crazy to know how fast a gain can happen. I eat off plan, It shows up on the scale three days later.

A little motivation for your day.

LOL! Thanks, @FluffyChix! I'm not letting it get me down. I can't get upset about a small gain. I've just got to get back to doing what I know works!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
