Daily calories

I ate 1000 calories a day by 3 weeks, and about 1200 per day most of my loss phase.

Ask your team what they advise. Do your best and be patient with yourself.

My place, like many, didn't like to go by calories but rather just making sure there was adequate Protein and Fluid intake - especially in the first 1-2 months. And low sugar/lower carb, of course. However, from my food diary I was in that range of 600-900 per day for the first few months, and then slowly increased after month 3 when my activity level increased a lot more. But everyone is different as far as individual needs and rate of loss and all of that. And there's also that balancing act of not taking in too much, but then also make sure you are getting enough. Because of course you can stall from too few calories too! Def check with your doc/nut too though, especially if you are having concerns due to feeling you are either too hungry or not hungry enough, and even more so if that coincides with a slow-down or stall. Good luck!

Im eating 3-5oz of food about every 4-hrs

Im getting in between 600-900 calories a day. Is this normal for 5 1/2 ,weeks post-op from sleeve surgery?

It really depends on what your surgical team / nutritionist has set for you. At 5.5 weeks I was eating between 600 -700 cals per day up to 6 times per day (I think about the same volume as yourself). I've just up'd my caloric intake to 800 but still struggling with less than 6 times per day to get my Proteins in.

Just remember, it's all trial and error. You have to do what feels right to you and your body (while following the plan from your team).

My doctor wants me at 500 a day with a max of 700 with only 3 meals a day. I struggle daily to follow that. I would probably be at goal weight if I did.

I am at 400ish calories a day and I am 6 weeks post-op. The surgeon says my long-term caloric intake should be between 800-1000 around 8 months or so.

I'm in my 7th week and averaging 600-800/day. My NUT says at least 500-600, but to aim fr 600-800. Looking at my food logs, at 5 weeks I was more at 450-600.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
