Not Losing Weight on PreOp Diet??

Went to the START Clinic yesterday and the hospital's scale says I haven't lost ANY weight. So... 8 days in out of 16 and zero weight loss. I don't even understand how this is scientifically possible.

Your body is healing. Give it time. Don't get discouraged and be patient. It'll happen but not overnight, or 8 for that matter right now. Enjoy the journey.

I'm on day 4 of a 7 day pre-op liquid diet - semi-skimmed milk and any tea, coffee etc - using milk from the allowed amount. I'm not losing much - and as mousecat said, I've had much better results on a very restricted low carb diet in the past. But, I'm just trying to keep it going. My op is on Wednesday! Sleeve - revision from Band!...

I started my pre-op diet on October 3. On October 9th I weighed myself and I was down five pounds. On October 13 I was down an extra 0.4 of a pound. On October 16 I had lost a total of 14 pounds.

Just trying to give an idea of how crazy it all is.

I am now just 4 days out from surgery and haven't lost a pound. 12 days on pre-op so far. Followed the pre-op diet exactly. Oh well.
