@amiekinsRN. You and i are surgery twins. I think the pain is pretty manageable as well. This experience was much better than i anticipated. I’m glad you’re feeling better. Fluids and Proteins are going to be interesting for me as well. I feel full after Water.

I think the hardest thing for me right now is no liquid for 30 minutes after eating . Man if u drink something while eating the pain in your belly is brutal

You guys know u can get a variety of Soups from the bariatric store on this site they have cream if chicken cream of tomatoe cream of mushroom the thing about it its not your average cream Soup its very watered down so its fine to go towards your liquid and Protein intake. They have 15gms of protein. That's wat I've been eating or drinking lol and haven't had any problems. It gives you a variety instead of the basic chicken broth.

Do you find the Soups to be grainy? I tried the cream of Tomato today and it was like drinking very fine sand. If you don’t- any secrets to preparing it? Thanks!

Well I use 8 oz of Water oppose to the 6 oz and make sure it's very hot Water and you have to stir it for a while to make sure the powder fully dissolves mine wasn't grainy at all.

Thanks. I’ll try it again. I used 8 oz of boiling water and whisked it. Maybe the water was too hot? I’ll try hot but not boiling water.

I’m trying to not repeat the same drinks in a day, so the more variety I can have the better.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
