Intermittent Fasting Daily Menu/Results/Accountability

  • Popular Post

Hey y'all! Anyone and everyone is welcome to jump in and join us.

This is the Intermittent Fasting DAily Menu/Results/Accountability Thread. It's where a few of us (or many) are going to log in and encourage each other while we experiment with our own IF plans. You can list or talk about anything--not just your food. I look forward to adding in HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) and core exercises to my walking plan while practicing IF. So expect to hear about that too. ;) hehe I expect some of us will talk about the known IF side-effects like insomnia, circadian rhythm disturbance, etc. It's all good! Let's hack this IF mofo! mkay? :D

There is not any 1 specific IF plan--there are so many to choose from, so this is a BYOIFP (bring-your-own-IF-plan) and join the fun! This is the thread where we'll post our daily menus and maybe some piccys at times! We can discuss progress, issues we might notice, look at how we may want to refine our own personal plans. I do think you should be healed from surgery and have your doctor's and RD's blessings to try something like this and you should do a ton of research and reading about Intermittent Fasting.

IF isn't only about weight loss, it's about taking specific measures to limit either quantities, calories, macros, or sometimes only consciously altering eating windows/schedules in order to effect metabolic change and reduce inflammation and improve health markers.

Ok, let's do this thang!!!

Anddd I'm back to my ticker weight this morning. Let's see if I can stick the landing this time and go on to a new low? My 1 year is coming up on Thursday this week! I'm better than they or I projected, but not where I wanted to secretely be. But I will just keep on trippin' and tryin'. Every day is a new opportunity to fine tune my plan!

:)

Planning Monday and Tuesday big IF days!!

Well done FC... I am following your progress like a hawk as your planning and understanding of this whole crazy weight loss journey is inspiring. You attack it like a single minded Uber focused missile and I’m taking a page out of your book on trying to be more AR! ? thank you for sharing what you do to this community! I am certainly more informed as a result! ?

Woohoooo! The landing basically "stuck". Pre-poopy nekkid this am, 145.0lbs. So pretty close. Today is IF till I drop. ;) The plan is to go maybe 22:2? I'm gonna have 1 gynormous green smoothie this evening, then 2 hours later will eat dinner. That takes care of the protein and fiber. (Oh and I will get a little more fiber in a glass of ice tea between there.)

In my heart of hearts I'm hoping to see 143lbs on my scale on Thursday morning, hoping it will show me at "normal range" on her scale! Hoping I can get 2 good IF days into the fray! Think I should be able to.

Anyone else IFing these days or is it only me from over the sea?

Very interesting. Particularly the emphasis on how to deal with cravings!

I was doing IF with 18/6 daily plan (fast 18 hours and eat during a 6 hour slot) before surgery. It was very satisfying and I really felt good doing it. However, think I need to wait a bit until I can start again. I am only 2 weeks postop and totally focusing on my fluids and protein now, Once I can get enough protein and nutrition into my daily menus, I will go back to IF. Actually at only 230 calories a day now, It's basically continual fasting!

My brother was 50 pounds overweight. He was able to take off 30 with exercise and healthy eating, but then stalled. He didn't change anything in his eating plan except to start IF and then lost the extra 20.

Everything I have read points to IF as a very healthy practice - so much so that it extends lifespan. The pre chemo fasting has shown to be very beneficial. I am excited about hearing how others are doing this after surgery and how soon folks are able to start.
