Oh crap! I forgot about that! I so rarely add it to anything. I make bacons for Denny (Mr F) and keep it in the fridge so I can pull out a slice and slap it on something for him. I was feeling frisky that day. LOL.

I have turkey and vegan bacon in my freezer from the summer, I may use it eventually...lol I feel like I should start prepping frozen meals again

PP=Premier Protein.

In my opinion for what it is, we all have normal stalls along the way. Two months, your surgery is not even considered fully healed nor is it close to being "mature." So starting IF at 2 months, you are usually not even eating enough to be able to IF. I would say IF would be at a minimum (for me at least) of 4-6 months.

I could see starting a 16:8 (16 hours fasting with an 8 hour daily eating window and no restrictions for calories other than what your surgical team gives you) if and only if you can get all your fluids, and your 60-80g of necessary Protein in for the day without relying on Protein Drinks. Supplementing a tiny bit of missing protein is fine, but not depending on it to carry your protein needs. If you can do that in 2-3 meals, then it would be a sorta-safe thing to do IF.

If you can't, then it's something to think about adding for that last 20-30lbs of loss once you have a fully healed mature anatomy.

Thank you so much! That helps a ton!

Dang had a slippery moment around 3pm! Came home and was making "mah boy" a snack for a late lunch--he wussed and decided he didn't want to pull a 20/4 today, and as I was making his plate of smoked turkey, BHs lacy swiss and blackberries, I was having a moment. I got SOOOO hungry I wanted to just cave and say eff it!

But I powered down a bottle of Water, did some deep 4-square breathing and made a cup of green tea. Score!!!! IF 1: wimpy self-control 0 (GOOSEEGG BAYBEEEEE!)

It was (still is) good. I barely made a dent in it. Funny I got it to share with someone then forgot about it. My fav part was the hummus and falafel lol

Mandated 12 hr dry fasting for routine testing and I'm already so thirsty. Is there such a thing as head thirst? Lol

Checking out my gallbladder in the AM just to prove whether or not I am a sleeve unicorn (dumping syndrome) or a regular @$$ lol.

How is everyone else doing?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
