3 days post op, could eat a horse.

I’m starving already and the liquids aren’t really cutting it. There’s so much conflicting info around what to eat, even in my own stuff I got from the surgeon. Has anyone gone straight to soft foods? I’ve had yoghurt, chicken soup with bits and all went down okay.

  • A BM weighing in at 20+lbs is still something to be quite concerned with. It was 2 days post-op that I finally had a BM (rabbit turds) and prior to it was 2-days prior to surgery. The first one is a

  • @Marisol Unda - you've lost 27lbs in 4-days? WOW! I'd definitely call your surgeon just to make sure that's normal. I've lost 9.8lbs since my surgery on 8/20 and that's with 200 - 400 kcal per day sin

Yes I got a call back from the nurse and she asked me several question and seemed to think it was mostly fluid and not to worry. She scheduled me to come in for a check up in 2 days. I feel fine I just completely freaked out when I saw that on the scale. I stepped off reset and kept getting the same number. It was really scary.
Thank you for checking up on me. I hope you are doing well.

@msauerbrei congrats that's awesome. Had surgery same day only down 4 pds. I have constant hunger pains and REALLY want to guzzle water but can't

Don't start out trying to eat? right away! Start with donkeys or Wesh ponies and work your way up. Seriously don't overtax your internal incisions, you are dtill, healing and will be for quite a while. An exploding stomach,is corting a fatal outcome. Please go very slow and follow your bariatric plan closely, it's set up that way to protect you.

@macadamia, Quaker Oats has an instant oatmeal that is labeled "weight control" - I think it's really just less sugar. But some of the flavors are tasty.

I’m trying so hard not to weigh myself. Lol
GOOD JOB on the weight loss everyone!

I admire your willpower. I got on the scale today and it didn't budge from yesterday. It reminded me that I really need to just step back and let my body do the healing and the weight will shed on it's own. My goal now is to stay away from it until Sunday. Crossing fingers I can keep my own challenge.
