How long dis it take to see your stomach go down
My stomach / face is the first place I always lose. Thighs and arms are the slowest to show. Everyone’s body type is different!

Weight going up
Same happened to me. I dropped 17 lbs in he first twelve days then stalled for a week and actually gained three. Now down 5 in four days.

Need breakfast ideas - what are you eating for bf?
This looks amazing!

Summer 2018 Surgery Buddies: POST-OP Discussion
I’ve been stalled for about 5 days. I’m only 17 days post op. Not worried though I lost 17 lbs in those first 12 days so I’m just sticking to plan, focusing on protein and fluids, and being patient

Summer 2018 Surgery Buddies: POST-OP Discussion
I’m stalled right now too but I’m two weeks out. Have you been exercising? Walking? Drinking enough?

Calorie intake
I got to about 499 calories today. That was adding some cheese to every meal.

Calorie intake
The hair loss is a result of the rapid weight loss. The protein helps a bit but unless you’re losing really slow it’s inevitable.
-
Calorie intake
Are you not on puréed yets? My doctor cleared me For puréed diet at one week. I drink one shake a day split up over three meals. I can do more than 4 oz of liquid at a time.
-
Calorie intake
Definitely not getting enough protein. My NUT did tell me not to stress about that until 8 weeks post op though. I get like 25g of protein on a good day.

Vitamins
Me!!!! I seriously forget and my vitamin requires three times a day ?
-
Calorie intake
I’m 12 days post op. Should I be worrying about calorie intake yet? I’m averaging about 200 calories a day and physically cannot manage more. Should I be concerned? Do I not need to worry yet?

Should I be offended?!
His comments were definitely sexist but the intent behind them - that your lifting routine (high weights low reps) is for building big muscles isn’t wrong. He could have went about explaining it a different way. He’s also not wrong that cardio is of vital importance as well. When I slack on my cardio and only focus on weights I stall big time.

Liquid diet tips
Labrada is my favorite - pricier than premier though. Also bigger bottles so post-op they last an extra meal.

Caffeine
Caffeine is acidic. When your stomach is healing you shouldn’t be adding anything to increase the. Acidity, heartburn, etc...

How many calories per day??
My NUT told me not to even attempt the 900-1200 until about 9 months. Before that she said it’s hard if I’m eating the right foods. My plan has a lot of restrictions long term though.

Back to Work
Thanks all for your personal choices with returning. Gave me a good range of what to expect. I went to the building Monday to hang some bulletin board stuff and after a couple hours I was exhausted. I’m hoping I can just power through and nap when I get home.

3 days post op, could eat a horse.
I’ve had zero appetite since surgery on the 23rd. Down 12 pounds since surgery drinking all clear liquids.

Intermittent Fasting
I’ve done intermittent fasting before and it always has great results for me. I think what a lot of people forget is it’s not a free for all in the 8 hours you eat. You still need to follow a strict caloric guideline or there’s no point.

How many have lost more than the average?
I don’t think it’s impossible. Those stats are just saying without trying very hard just the procedure will help you lose this percentage. After the 18 months you’re going to have to work hard to take the rest off.

Back to Work
Thanks all! I know it’s entirely personal how I will feel by then. But I dread missing the first days of school and having to jump back in when they’ve been working with a sub. I know I’ll need to take a day off for a follow up appointment but that’s unavoidable sometimes

Back to Work
I’m a teacher that is supposed to start September 4th. I just had surgery on the 23rd. I’m torn whether I should take a couple extra weeks off or suck it up and go in. I know it’s only day 3 but I feel like garbage and it’s hard to keep anything down. When did everyone go back to work?

August bypassers/sleevers
Had my sleeve done yesterday. Pain has been really tough and I can’t keep anything but water down right now. Jello, tea make me feel nauseous

Don't pray for me
You say you offended that people assume you believe in the impossible or whatever but you’re just showing that you feel like your above people who believe in god. No you didn’t say it but your word choice is poor and offensive to those who do believe.
-
Don't pray for me
Whether you believe or not that’s how they choose to send their good wishes and intentions. I think it’s rude to want to micromanage how someone wants to send good intentions your way. Say thank you and keep it moving.
