  1. My stomach / face is the first place I always lose. Thighs and arms are the slowest to show. Everyone’s body type is different!
  2. Same happened to me. I dropped 17 lbs in he first twelve days then stalled for a week and actually gained three. Now down 5 in four days.
  3. I got to about 499 calories today. That was adding some cheese to every meal.
  4. The hair loss is a result of the rapid weight loss. The protein helps a bit but unless you’re losing really slow it’s inevitable.
  5. Are you not on puréed yets? My doctor cleared me For puréed diet at one week. I drink one shake a day split up over three meals. I can do more than 4 oz of liquid at a time.
  6. Definitely not getting enough protein. My NUT did tell me not to stress about that until 8 weeks post op though. I get like 25g of protein on a good day.
  7. Me!!!! I seriously forget and my vitamin requires three times a day ?
  8. I’m 12 days post op. Should I be worrying about calorie intake yet? I’m averaging about 200 calories a day and physically cannot manage more. Should I be concerned? Do I not need to worry yet?
  9. Labrada is my favorite - pricier than premier though. Also bigger bottles so post-op they last an extra meal.
  10. My NUT told me not to even attempt the 900-1200 until about 9 months. Before that she said it’s hard if I’m eating the right foods. My plan has a lot of restrictions long term though.
  11. Thanks all for your personal choices with returning. Gave me a good range of what to expect. I went to the building Monday to hang some bulletin board stuff and after a couple hours I was exhausted. I’m hoping I can just power through and nap when I get home.
  12. I’ve had zero appetite since surgery on the 23rd. Down 12 pounds since surgery drinking all clear liquids.
  13. I’ve done intermittent fasting before and it always has great results for me. I think what a lot of people forget is it’s not a free for all in the 8 hours you eat. You still need to follow a strict caloric guideline or there’s no point.
  14. I don’t think it’s impossible. Those stats are just saying without trying very hard just the procedure will help you lose this percentage. After the 18 months you’re going to have to work hard to take the rest off.
  15. Thanks all! I know it’s entirely personal how I will feel by then. But I dread missing the first days of school and having to jump back in when they’ve been working with a sub. I know I’ll need to take a day off for a follow up appointment but that’s unavoidable sometimes
  16. I’m a teacher that is supposed to start September 4th. I just had surgery on the 23rd. I’m torn whether I should take a couple extra weeks off or suck it up and go in. I know it’s only day 3 but I feel like garbage and it’s hard to keep anything down. When did everyone go back to work?
