What kind of post-op tea did you drink?

I love warm tea and wanted to know for post-op if there was a favorite tea that soothed your tum. Also what what’s your preference with the temp of liquids in general?

I drink anything from Lipton to chai. When I have cravings, I find a chai tea latte (made with Premier Protein vanilla shake) really satisfies the cravings. In the winter, I stock up on eggnog and sal

Mint tea is fine if you can tolerate it (and if your team didn't tell you not to): it's good at fighting nausea, but it will increase the chances of acid reflux. I'm pretty sure my team said not to ri

This thread is perfection! I'm glad to see one on here! I'm a big tea drinker and have been wondering about this with post op.

Tea was my mainstay when I returned home, I was sooooo happy I didn't have to give it up

I wonder how the bariatric pal cold teas are? has anyone tried them?

I'm about a week and a half post op and I've started mixing half a Premier Protein drink (the strawberry and cream, peaches and cream, or bananas and cream) with Celestial Seasonings Country Peach Passion Herbal Tea. The protein drinks bother my stomach a little, but mixing it with the tea seems to help. The tea is chamomile with hints of peach.

I wish I'd read this thread sooner, as I did find that ginger and mint teas no longer agree with my stomach like they used to.

The most soothing thing to my stomach so far has been Broths, mostly bone broths that I add a little seasoning too. I wish tea's would go down as easily! Hopefully soon.

I’m right there with you in the broth. Here’s what I add for more flavor to the bone broth. Hope suggestions help!

I was given decaf tea in the hospital. My stomach wouldn’t tolerate anything cold. At home all I drink in peppermint tea. It doesn’t bother my stomach at all.
