Sorry for the delayed reply. Cardiologist recommended heart cath. Had that done through the arm (radial) instead of leg yesterday afternoon. No blockages!! He said all is good!! My blood pressure did drop again during the cath procedure to 51/26 and I felt like I was gonna pass out but he said that was due to something he injected in artery. Gave me something to combAt that and all was normal again.

My arm is a little sore today and I’ve got to keep this pressure bandage on until 6:00 tonight.

Headed Back to my Bariatric surgeon today for follow up.

Well I had both my cardiac Cath through the radial artery as did Tomkitten( my son) . So much better route than through the femoral artery in the groin. Had good friend who had his done through that route. You have to lay flat with your pressure bandage on so long but the thing he hated even more was ha had a painful lump for so long. Put a hitch in his giddy-up!
So glad yours turned out uneventful ---now back to the bariatric surgeon and see what happens next! Maybe back to surgery, and things will get completed?🙏😛

So very sorry to hear that but yet again was for the best I am sure. I never had to have cardiologist clearance prior to surgery. I did, however, need to have an EKG done with the other preop testing. Not sure of your age but I do know a lot of the preop testing used to be different depending on your age.
I am sure you are crushed but YOU ARE ALIVE! Good luck at the cardiologist and keep your chin up.

Glad you were cleared with no blockages! I am concerned about your blood pressure constantly going down during your procedures. Are you going to talk to your Surgeon about putting a plan in place should that happen again that would allow him to continue with your surgery and not stop it again?

If there some sort of medication you can be given to make your blood pressures less liable? Sure hope so, I want your surgery,😷to get finished!

Something very similar happened to my during my surgery. Was supposed to have VSG two weeks ago but my heart had issues and they stopped surgery after the first incision. Has been a huge emotional rollercoaster, lots of disappointment, and I’m not sure if I’ll be able to try for the surgery again.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
