It's hard to say what it'll do. If you're worried about falling asleep bring it with you and ask if you can take it.

If you're worried about faking sleep apnea to get insurance approval, well I don't know if there's a surefire way of doing that with legal OTC drugs.

I was told to follow my normal routine. These articles may help to answer your questions, too.

They want you to follow your normal routine to get an accurate idea of what sleep is like for you. I take Ambien every night and was told to do so for my hospital sleep study because it is my normal routine.

Thank you for all your answer. Glad to hear I can take meds cause I wouldn't be able to fall asleep. I had read somewhere that it slows down your breathing so they wouldn't want you to take it.and it could relax your throat muscles more.

I had to take a Ambien before my 2nd sleep study. The first one, I didn't get enough sleep for them to probably get good info. I specifically requested a sleep aide to get me through the second test.

I'm curious if it is the doctors who request the sleep study or if it is an insurance requirement?

No you shouldn’t take any
Drugs before a sleep
Study as it will not produce accurate results. Diazepam is a depressant it will naturally relax you’re muscles even more which could cause sleep apnoea. If you already have sleep apnoea it would make it worse.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
