I had sleeve on 6/5 and went from 234 to 210 since... Well weighed myself yesterday and was 211.. I feel I'm messing up my surgery by gaining the pound.. I did just get off my period but it's bringing me down.. I don't eat much and I'm very active..

You've lost 24 lbs. in a month, girl! Celebrate, don't worry! Your body may just be getting used to the changes and taking a little break. Also, scales are notoriously inconsistent. They're great for showing a trend, but not so much within the 1 pound range. That being said, 1 pound could be extra Fluid, it could be a poop, anything. Don't stress, it will probably be gone tomorrow. If you're not cheating on your plan, you will lose.

Put the scale away for a while if it causes anxiety ...

instead measure other things such as food by the cup, Water by the ounce, inches lost, ability gained, confidence boosted and time rewound.

You're fine. Stick to your program. There are little stalls and a pound up and down here and there. it's normal. Be patient with it.

I keep retaining Fluid, but like most I weigh myself daily. I only change my ticker if my weight goes down. If it goes back up, I just wait it out until it less than it was again. Maybe that is cheating, but we really are not supposed to weigh ourselves everyday and everyone's weight fluctuates. I do hope the edema resolves itself soon though. My heart is good and they don't know why I am retaining fluid other than the trauma of surgery. Surgery was 4 weeks ago...

I agree with all of this. There are so many reasons that your scale may be saying you've gained a pound. In the grand scheme of things, one pound is nothing :) I'm the type of person who used to weigh everyday, so I totally understand becoming fixated on that number. If you decide to keep on weighing frequently I recommend the app Happy Scale. It tracks your weight using a moving average, so it takes normal weight fluctuations into account to estimate your actual weight.

I’m four years out and I still retain Fluid and will gain a pound or two for no reason and then lose it again for no reason other than I ate too much salt or too many carbs.
So, don’t despair.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
