Protein Shots - 15g Protein, 60 Cal

Recommended Posts

I am not great with Protein, so of course, my doctor upped my minimum to 75g/day. UGH! I chronically get close to evening and still need 10-20 g more protein. So I ordered the Protein Shots from the BP store and tried my first one today - apple. Delish! It's tangy, not toooo sweet, kind of like a cross between an apple Jolly Rancher and pineapple sherbet. It's less than 3 oz., so even in the evening it's not hard to sneak in. I'm delighted. I'd like to get away from supplements, but for the time being, I take a lot of them. This is much better than having to drink a 16 oz. Protein Water right before bed.

I've seen those and was wondering how they are—thanks for the review! Post-op, my doc doesn't allow for Protein Shakes to count as Fluid intake, so these would be really helpful so that I can get in all my fluids and Protein.

Wow, that's the first time I've heard of that.

When I bought them, I thought that even if I didn't like the flavor, they'd be small enough to take like medicine, just to get the Protein. It was a happy surprise that I liked them!

I know, same! <_< I think that it's to avoid dehydration, but it's going to be really hard to get 64 ounces of Water and 2 Protein Shakes. These will be perfect!

Glad I could help. I'm curious to see what the other flavors taste like. I bought the variety pack.

Let me know how the others are! I have a running list of things I need to buy for post-op :)

Update: I was really short on Protein yesterday so I had 2 of the shots yesterday evening.

Pink Lemonade - it was all right. Not nasty or anything, but not awesome, either.

Orange - do you like Creamsicles? YUM!

I promise I'm not being paid to promote them! ;) Just when you find something that works, you've got to share!

Because, again, it is 6:30 pm and I've only had 46 g of Protein out of my 75g minimum. UGH!

OK, tried the final flavor last night, the cran-grape. Tasted like a grape popsicle. Not bad, but grape isn't my favorite flavor in general. However, I can down .5 oz of anything if I get 15g of Protein out of it! Hope this helps others!

They don't show a pic of the back in the store, but here's the product description:

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
