1st meeting with surgeon (dr. Krause)

Recommended Posts

Hi there,
I’m meeting the surgeon for the first time tomorrow. I went through Beaumont weight control center. Finished my 6 months requirements. Had blood work done and an EKG. This will be the group meeting followed by individual meeting.
What should I expect? Is this just protocol or is he going to ask for more tests or requirements?
I’m just really hoping to get my surgery date soon because I’m a teacher and would love to take advantage of y summer break while on full liquids and puréed foods.
Thanks for your input!!

It all depends on the individual and the surgeon.

Be a good listener. Ask your surgeon all your worrying questions.

Hi there!
I just had my vsg on 8/3 late in the day because I was delayed 3 hours. The surgery went well he saw a hernia that he fixed (we didn’t know it was there)
They sent me home the next day at 3pm. I’ve been having a hard time keeping anything down. The hospital called and said if I feel signs to dehydration I should contact the weight control center I went through.
Good luck to you! Every day it gets a tad bit easier!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
