Sleeping and bizzare dreams

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, I got sleeved on June 7, 2018, and the past few days I have been having these really weird and very real dreams. They're preventing me from getting a full night sleep. Has anyone experienced anything like this after surgery? Could it be the combination of medications and Vitamins?

I dreamed the other night that I was married to a werewolf. Then I woke up to my hubby's energetic snores and it all made sense! LOL!

But, really, if you are still on any pain meds, that could be it.

I stopped the pain meds after a couple days of being home, they were giving me such bad Constipation. That is pretty funny though. Last night, I followed Alec Baldwin and his family around and I was trying to give him my number on a business card but everytime I went to write my phone number, I would write it wrong. I eventually got in their SUV and drove home with them with a coffee pot on my lap as a present for them and still couldn't get my number right... Lol

I actually have dreams of stuffing my face with food! Which is funny cause I have no desire to do that while awake.

Man I have always had crazy, weird, vivid dreams. I don’t know what my brain will concoct if they get worse after surgery. Although recently I had a dream that I was in a hotel with Rob Thomas so I would be all right with that one getting wilder. :D

I found out what was causing them. It was the zantac at night, I've never had any problems with heartburn or reflux, but they give it to you as a precaution. I decided not to take it, and no dreams. Took it the following night, and oh boy! Lol Asked the Dr. if it was okay not to take it, and she okayed it.

I just read up on Vitamin B12. Studies show they cause vivid dreams/nightmares. It recommended to take the Vitamin early in day, maybe that would help.

As of right now, I’m enjoying my vivid dreams lol

This is good to know as I have to start taking B12 this week. B12 for Breakfast it is!

My dreams have been VERY weird and vivid too. I was stuck in a LARP game loop or something last night. .. and it was pretty violent/gory, weird. Eventually I basically woke my self up so I could 'switch channels'
I've also had the stuffing my face dreams a few times.
Weird stuff.
I'm not back on my Vitamins yet, but when I get there, the B's are definitely happening in the AM!

I have much fewer nightmares when I wear my C pap, maybe the vivid ones were because I was smothering.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
