Probably where they retracted liver out of the way. Now you know your Dr Marc, I know my Dr Bradley, you got the Grade A #1 type surgery, neither of them would have stood for less than perfection. I really believe its just settling of your innards into a place of recovery and recuperation. Gonna take a while, imagine how mine are going to complain after being left alone for,so many years!???Step by step little one, you are doing fine.

True facts!
Anybody have pain on the right side? Like a dull achy pain sometimes not always.. its right above my biggest incision?? Its not too bad but its like an annoying dull ache on right side
I was told that the site where the doc works aka the big incision will have internal stitches that can cause some pain when they start to dissolve. Some people describe it as a dull ache others a spasm. Sounds like that might be what you're doing

So I am two weeks on Friday and get to start the puree stage of my food. Would love feedback on how it has gone for everyone so far on what food did you try first? feeling really nervous that my new tummy will not be happy

How was it? did it feel okay straight away?

The scrambled egg gave me a stomach ache at first. The deviled (I put less than 1 teaspoon low fat mayo, yellow mustard and lawry’s salt) did not bother me at all. I thought maybe the mayo helped. Next time I tried roasted chicken (dark meat). I was scared so I added the same ingredients to it before purée. I did well with that as well. I tried a scrambled with one wedge of laughing cow cheese. That went well. Then lastly I tried the ricotta cheese bake recipe from the blog the world according to egg face. That went well too. That’s all I tried so far. Also used the WatchMeEat app and a tiny spoon so I didn’t eat too fast

I didn't know this app existed, just downloaded it on my phone....thank you. It is such an amazing platform to share experiences, thank you for your input it really helps not to feel so lonely in this process.

I had very good luck with purée stage. I did devilled egg, chicken salad with low fat mayo or Greek yogurt, scrambled eggs with a bit of ricotta cheese mixed in, kept them nice and smooth. Soda crackers and Melba toast also no problem. But getting a bit cocky I was cutting up a Costco rotisserie chicken for hubby and was taking small bits and chewing well when all of a sudden It got stuck! It was very uncomfortable for about 15 minutes and kept wanting to come up but it finally passed ?

Could someone please explain...I am day 16. No pain from site during the day and op sites are healing beautifully. BUT as soon as I go to bed I get pain on my left?? Even if I lie on my back or wedge myself on the side pain pain pain??

Why does this only happen when you sleep?? I thought it would get better by now?

Good Morning!

Yes, I live in the DFW area.
Awesome!! Same here. Just had my surgey on monday 8/13. How about you?
