When I get that far and I’m looking for new clothes to wear, I might be looking for a New Husband if my sex drive gets any lower!!

Well I haven't felt any difference in that area but at this point Im not sitting on the pole or bending over until my fat ass lose some more lbs. Im only 9 days post op and my tummy still sore. But when I do have a different feeling best believe I'll attack the 3rd leg and be happy.@TaylorMade4One yes its in that general area.

Yes and yes.
Just a suggestion, ask your doc: sometimes taking wellbutrin (antidepressant) can stabilize PMS, AND increase sex drive. It is one of the antidepressants that is also easier to stop taking as well, little to no side effects. I take it seasonally for 'winter blues', but it jump starts the desire.

The thing is, I have a high sex drive... I just have zero sensation.... so that’s the weird part..

Okay, forgive me while I try and explain this..... *MEN BEWARE* *GRAPHICS AHEAD*

I don't know the medical terms, but my pubic area, was always pretty fat. I always felt like it was very puffy. Now that I'm loosing, I feel like that area is getting smaller, and the "form" isn't the same. Sense it isn't your sex drive that has changed, I wonder if your vagina shape, size, form.. has changed enough to where you have to adjust. Things that once felt good (positions, ect.) maybe won't anymore or will take some adjustment.

food for thought!

Change positions cos of pudgy-loss - ok.

💃🏻🌋💥

Thanks (she said, smiling quietly to herself)

I never had a sex drive so I cant answer that, but the bypass sent me into menopause so I'm fairly certain this surgery messes with your hormones. Just my experience, I have no proof to back that up but i have read many places that major surgery can start menopause.

Hi there. I’m now 8 months post op. I had gastric bypass. I’ve lost 100lbs. Yay! So here’s the thing... I have lost all sexual arousal... I still have a good / decent sex drive, but I’ve lost almost all sensation.. anyone else experience this?? Not sure what’s up. Sorry to be inappropriate, but thought I’d ask...

Have you and your partner ventured into any local adult store for some sensation lube or toys? (I think they sell sensation lubes at CVS too)? Clearly get a professional opinion if there is legit sensation loss, because nerve damage can and does happen with WLS, typically it's in the legs, but, nerves are funny things. It's possible that with the weight loss, the protective fat around those specific nerve groups is being compressed and thus, killing sensation. Also, it's important to understand that the clitoris is only a very small part of a much larger group of nerves, if those nerves are no longer as easy to stimulate, then that'll cause a decrease in sensation as well.

Good luck, that's a tough issue to be faced with!

I think you should be fine! Most people report an increase in sexual pleasure after WLS.

Thank you for his service!

I actually haven’t tried lube yet- and plan on it- but yeah it does make sense to lose some sensation after losing so much fat .. but I did make an apt for some hormone tests to see if anything different is going on. I was extremely easy to please before- and now - nothing at all. So I’m puzzled. Would suck to have lost all sensation forever. Lol! Thanks for your input.

Good luck! But don't stress about it, there is a very heavy mental aspect to this as well. Tip with the lubes, try a dab behind your ear before you go slathering your nether regions, you wouldn't want to have a reaction that's less than pleasant if you are sensitive to something in the lube. At least with the lubes meant for added sensitivity, also, check with your partner, they might have some "adverse" reactions to added stimulus *wink*. For non-sensation adding lubes, pure food grade coconut oil is AMAZING for both parties! And it's good for your skin!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
