Trying not to worry...need help!!

Recommended Posts

On 4/16 I had my band removed and the sleeve was done. At my week follow-up I had lost 22 pounds and today at my appointment I had gained 4. I felt as someone let the air out of me!!! I don't eat soo many of the things on the list for this stage(oatmeal, yogurt, cream of wheat) and I have been making myself eat jell-o although I am not a fan. So I am thinking of just going back to broth for a while and trying to get my Water and Protein Drinks in. I DO NOT WANT TO FAIL and I know this is the crucial time to drop as much as I can. Any suggestions????

It may just be from Water or pre menstrual gain (assuming you are a woman)

Try tracking progress in other ways like measurements

The scale does not always reflect all the changes occurring

My doctor told me at my first follow up appointment that if I measured my success by the scale I would be disappointed every time. My scale reads 203 pounds and has been there for a couple of weeks now but the size 36 pants that fit when I first got them not too long ago are getting real loose. So just because I can’t see it on the scale doesn’t mean stuff isn’t happening.

We totally know what you’re going through! Sometimes it feels like weight loss is somehow impossible for you despite all the hard work you do! Just keep going and focus on the fact that if you keep following your diet, you HAVE to lose weight and reach your goals! Also, I recommend Isopure drinks. They’re crazy high in Protein and taste pretty freaking good!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
