Hey! I'm now 9 months post-op and about 15lbs from goal weight. Wanted to see what people are doing about dating, specifically eating out.

I'm going to dinner with a guy a friend set me up with this weekend and just nervous about him wondering why I don't eat that much of meal.

My surgery is something I've been very open about to friends/family so if I go on several dates with someone I would absolutely tell them but I don't want to do it on the very first date.

Thanks!

I'd suggest ordering a meal, eat what you want, push it around the plate a bit if you have to, and ask for a container to take the rest home. The guy probably won't even notice exactly how much or little you eat. Keep talking and keep his mind on your sparkling personality!

Oh well first off good luck.

Treat this just like you would anything else personal. Don't tell him just like you would never mention any of your exes on the first date either.

Order light, like an appetizer, salad, Soup or side dishes and tell him straight up, you're not a big eater and you're not that hungry. He won't think anything is odd if you handle it that way.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
