Kidney pain after increase of protein

Recommended Posts

I have an appointment with my PHP this week . But I have a concern and question for you pros. I never ate Breakfast and lunch was a hit and miss but dinner everyday, now that I have started this 6 times a day eating change like all of you my Protein intake has increased a lot. I am diabetic with no previous kidney issues. I have followed this plan for a little over 7 weeks , the last week I have had pain in my right kidney and it aches all the time now. I have kidneys stones but the pain is different with them. Have any of you had an issue with the increased protein intake?

I am so inspired by all of you I just want to send out a huge hug for everyone of you.

My surgery isn’t until October ( crossing my fingers ) .

Best to discuss this with your doc and have some tests done:) Could also be gallbladder if you still have yours.

7 weeks isn't really long enough to develop kidney issue from excess Protein intake. Besides, you would have to be taking in massive amounts protein to cause damage. As in the 300 gram a day level.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
