So this morning I was trying to find something I saw here a couple months ago, it was a graphic of WLS surgery statists from the last recent years: number of procedures done, how many RNY, how many VGS, how many revisions.... stuff like that. It had information current up to 2016. I've exhausted myself trying to find it so I'm giving up and asking for help. If anyone has it or knows where to find it I'd appreciate it!

eghhhh so I solved my own problem by going to Google...

I'm not sure why I thought it originated on bariatricpal but this is the one I was referring to

It's interesting when you account for the changes in the population size that the drop in the RNY and Band seem to be absorbed by folks opting for the sleeve. It's also interesting how low the numbers still are for the DS, which anecdotally I would have thought was increasing in popularity recently.

My surgeon doesn’t offer DS so I didn’t do any research into it when making my decision. I wonder if many surgeons don’t do them, don’t push for them or what the lack in popularity stems from?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
