all tests were good except:upper sonogram

Liver echogenicity is mildly but diffusely increased. This can be seen with fatty infiltration of the liver.

my program doesn’t require liquid diet except 48 hours. not sure how this fatty liver will effect my rny. disappointed in myself

I would if it were me go on liquid diet

couple meals a day,if not all.for a week or so before. Make your remaining like low carb, high Protein and vegetables.[emoji501] Just because it isn't required doesn't mean it's not a very good idea. That's how I plan to react, I want this surgery too bad to have it snatched away from me. At 320ish a chubby liver for me is as sure as bears[emoji199] sleeping in the nearest woods. Just because they aren't easily visible it doesn't mean they aren't there.[emoji199][emoji13]

I think most folks looking at this surgery are going to have some level of enlarged liver. It's not clear when your surgery is or what type of surgery, but if you want to shrink your liver either go on a high Protein low carb diet (it doesn't have to be liquid, but Protein Shakes are an easy low carb high protein meal) a couple weeks before surgery. Alternatively if you have more time losing 20 pounds no matter how you lose it will also generally shrink you liver (for whatever reason the liver is one of the first places we shed fat from when we lose weight).

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
