Recommended Posts

Zoftig Girl you will like,a lot,of friends with an Oreo diet, I can't eat chocolate ones but,I used to like the ,lemon ones. If they could put them n in a bottle I might be right over. Shoot I'll even come if you have Premier Protein, on ice. I prefer peaches & cream if you're taking orders.

Ack, in pain this morning, not from my incisions but from my IV line! Forearm felt a bit sore in the early hours of the morning so I called a nurse to check that all was fine. She reassured me it was ok and I must have been laying/leaning on it awkwardly in my sleep. When I woke a few hours later at 7 though it was REALLY sore, and quite hard and swollen. During the night the IV to had moved out of the vein and was pumping fluids into my arm. Very ouchy.

They removed the line immediately and I went and has my shower. They are waiting on the anaesthetist to stop by late morning and put a replacement one in my other arm (since I'm not getting much Fluid in by mouth yet, I have to be really careful around swallowing tablets with a minimum of Water to prevent it coming up again. The endone they gave me about 30 minutes ago has at least reduced the pain for now.

Has pains are now minimal and I'm trying to walk a lot while I'm not stuck dragging my IV with me at the moment.

Blood pressure is recording a bit high overnight and this morning, but that may be because of IV issue.

Still not feeling hungry thankfully, but will work to get more water and Protein water in today.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to be sleeved on May 1st as my insurance chose to deny the day before. They want me to do another three months, noting that I have followed the program and lost weight prior. So it looks like I'll be in July/September.

Were u approved before that or they just denied u

Had my surgery may 2 and have to say its been a struggle. Had bad nausea and pain post op and then Migraine hit for last 24 hrs. If i can be rid of that I'll be happy. Tolerating thin fluids ok. Just having apple juice and broth really. 🤞home in morning. Missing my boys despite a visit each day. My 3 yr old starts pretend sneezing and saying he's sick when he's here as he wants to stay in with me.

Well it could be done in Sturgis, of course you might wake up,with a biker tattoo, the operating technicians would be a biker gang,
But Sioux Falls sounds like a credible location, and I m sure they will,do fine by you. I will have my surgery, a RnY at OSU.in Columbus Ohio, when- only God Knows

I think I’ll stick to Sioux Falls... although I have been considering a shoulder tat

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
