Food stuck wth

Recommended Posts

This is new to me. I'm 5 weeks out. Yesterday I ate a few bites of raw coconut. It didnt have an immediate affect so I thought it was fine. An hour later I had 5, yes five wheat thins. And one ounce of chicken. About an hour later I was down and out. I thought I may be going through 'dumping'. Nope for the next 7 hours I vomited the foamys, thought my chest was going to explode, had pain in my back right below the shoulder blades and couldn't lay down. I tried small sips of Water, an antacid, and a pain pill . I finally vomited what looked like the coconut but it was dark in color-- tmi? Sorry. I was really starting to worry. Just now after 8 hours can I almost lay down and don't have as severe pain as I did. WTH! Is this going to be a normal addition to what I'm already dealing with?

Well vets will be in shortly to give you the real scoop.

((hugs)) And so scary larry! Glad you horked it up!!!

Make sure you go back to Clear Liquids (and my surgeon said that should include clear Protein drinks) for the next 24 hours until it completely clears and doesn't cramp of make you nauseous.

That kinda sorta happened with me, but in my bowels.

I think it means, that it "could" be your new normal IF it was user error. Like, if you didn't chew well enough, or ate too fast, or ate too much--you could have the prob over and over. IF you have some kind of stricture, the same thing. But probably it was just too soon for you to have coconut and then wheat thins.

Coconut will swell in volume. Dessicated means dried. So maybe when Fluid got to it, it swelled and blocked the exit. The only way out was up at that point.

Just my hypothesis of events.

Maybe try coconut again in a couple of weeks but in much less quantity?

Thank you----nope I'm done with coconut 😬 So back to Clear Liquids ----I'm not sure how I'll get my Protein in. The thought of anything right now scares me.

Watch your gallbladder. Before I had mine out, I had severe and long lasting pain and vomiting.

Protein2O water; Premier Protein Clear; and Isopure. I'd cut any of them with Water at 50%. It will make them more dilute and drinkable. They are all clear liquids.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
