Just wanted to say Hi All! I'm new to this app and to the Bariatric journey. I'm still in process of trying to get my sleeve. Hoping it happens this summer! I joined here in hopes of making friends and support from those that "get it" :) and who knows maybe click with a special someone! Dating just got a lot more complicated with this whole thing lol. So, any and all advice/suggestions about surgery, life, whatever... are more than welcome!

Hi! I’m new here too. I just had surgery Wednesday. Good for you for joining early. I’m not the most knowledgeable with the hands on (yet), but I’m also a RN. I wish you all the best as you wait for surgery!

I feel I'm pretty ready for everything coming my way. I have been slowly making the changes for a few months now. It will be awesome to actually get a pay off of my hard work after surgery and see real results

And CLee you are going to be a success story, I feel it in my bones. And since I've had arthritis since 25 my tired old bones have felt a lot. Onward toward surgery --'I'm marching right along side of you!

Great attitude. That mindset well go a long way for you! And yes, seeing the results is an awesome payoff. I live it everyday in clothes so much smaller than I ever wore. Still hard to believe. Good luck!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
