Energy Varies Day to Day

Recommended Posts

My energy was way down on Tuesday. I walked markedly slower. Later on that night I felt faint. The next day I was bursting with energy. Today I feel sluggish again. No change in my protein/vitamin intake. So weird. I'm one week post op and just wanted to share my experience so far.

I have no answer. However this is one of my major concerns after surgery 3/27. Part of my problem with food is my fear of lack of energy (I have very physical demanding job) so I tend to over eat thinking I am compensating and filling my energy banks. If you are feeling a lack of energy after the surgery ...which can be expected as you recover, but what about long term?

I look forward also to any answers.

I believe your surgery, was a good thing, both for you and your health. Your body has received a shock, all major surgery is a true shock to the system. Your physical body is trying to come to terms with what has happened. It seems to be like- smooth day- hey what happened to me? I must realign!-smooth day- I must realign!. As time goes by the realigements will become fewer until they are non-existent. This is my belief in your recovery. In the meantime get your fluids in ,eat slowly your foods & follow your surgeon's rules and it will all smooth out!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
