Any March 2018 Sleevers?

I just got my surgery date for March 5. I am excited and nervous at the same time but I'm trying to hold it all together. :)

So confused and concerned when my surgeon told me he would only be removing 50% of my stomach!!!

My surgery is today!?

Help?

I wish you good luck. You will be in my prayers.

Good luck! I’m booked for Wednesday 28th Feb, I live in Western Australia. Super nervous [emoji51] but excited for the outcome.

Hope all goes well. Keep us posted!

My liquid diet started last Monday. I am due for surgery on March 6th. I had 2 weeks liquid diet pre-op. I have been HANGRY and just now finding ways to feel like I'm eating something.

I'm half way through Day 1 of liquid diet; so far so good....and I even survived my car dying on me this morning!

This is my very first post but March 1st here. It’s almost time! I’m completely nervous and excited all at once. This board has been really helpful to me in my journey so thanks to all that post.

Im March 1 also

I have been on my liver shrinking diet of 4 protein shakes and on lean cuisine type meal for 8 days, and have lost 10 lbs...but I am hungry! I had my final pre-op appointment today for surgery on the 9th. I'm nervous and excited, too. And so grateful to come here and see I'm not alone.

I am almost through Day 3, and I'm hungry, too! Thank god I don't have to do only shakes -- but I'm still hangry. Maybe the sun will come out tomorrow ;-)

I’m hungry too! Omg on day 5

I’m sure this is all elsewhere but I’m in hospital post-op. My date was 28 Feb and I thought I’d share my tips.

If you can learn to make yourself burp and pass gas before your date then do. The worse pain is from the gas that’s trapped (that they used to inflate your abdominal cavity). Other things that I’m told help (but haven’t worked for me)

hot pack

lying on the pain area as long as it isn’t your wound

Being up and about walking and chair sitting instead of in bed

When you vomit you’ll likely bring up blood so don’t freak out I’m told that’s normal. You likely won’t tolerate water orally the first couple of days (or maybe you will) but you’re on an IV so no biggie. I have to start oral fluids so my second full day after surgery. If you so try, take the tiniest sips imaginable and do it standing up.

Dont forget your breathing exercises.

And good luck!

I am March 9th! I am scared out of my mind, but upbeat about my new life.

Hi! I’m March 9 th as well. I’m at my final pre op appt as we speak and it’s now becoming a reality that this is really about to happen ?. I’m nervous too but look forward to good health in the future.

ME!!!! I am scheduled for March 5th. I already started my liquid diet, 5 days. Trying to hold it up, but my tummy hurts.

What are you guys doing for liquid diet?

I got lucky. I don’t have a “liquid diet “ until 2 days prior to surgery. For now I am to do 1 protein shake and 2 meals with veggies and meat only.
