  1. I had my rings resized from an 8.5 to a 6.5! Whoo hoo. I enjoy shopping now. I still buy a lot of stuff at Goodwill but I'm getting so close (3 lbs!) to my goal weight and then I will "invest" in some new things -- but truthfully I'm getting really good stuff at GW -- Ann Taylor, Ralph Lauren, Talbots, etc....they rarely had those in the plus section when I needed it. I can wear regular boots, no wide calves needed. My shoe size has gone down 1/2 size too. And I got an updated headshot for work and I really like it! My kids have also told me that they "don't remember" what I looked like before and that makes me happy. I notice that I am not as reluctant to get my picture taken as I used to be -- my "goal weight award" is to get our family portraits updated! Looking forward to planning that in the very near future. Best NSV is not to make the dreaded resolution to lose weight in the new year! I don't know why but that fact had me in tears on New Year's Eve....
  2. Hi there, sleeved March 7th. Down 80lbs! 5 more till goal. I stalled a number of times but I never actually gained so I was good. Didn't do as much exercise as I should which is why the last 10 libs have been hard. I have never looked back. Only issue I had was constipation right after surgery but felt great ever since. Best decision I have ever made. The holidays may be hard with all of the food that is EVERYWHERE in the office all of the time. I don't crave it like I used to so that is good. i just make sure I have healthy snacks on hand.
  3. I have had many NSVs in the last 6 months since my surgery: Not worrying about fitting in the seats at the amusement park TUCKING IN MY SHIRT...I've never actually done that Having my kids arms go the whole way around when they hug me New clothes, new shoes Riding bike again after 10+ years Feeling proud I am almost 6 months post-op. No regrets, only wish I had done it sooner!
  4. Sleeved on 3/7 and have hit 40lbs loss today! I am doing well; still find it hard to get in all the protein and limit the carbs. I'm not eating pasta, bread, etc...but carbs sneak into a lot of other foods. I'm NEVER hungry which is so weird to me. I am working toward more activity now that the weather is finally nice outside. My birthday is in a month and I'd love to hit the 50lb mark by then. I do need to stop weighing myself every day. I need to just put the scale away -- I don't know what is keeping me from doing it! Thankful for all the supportive folks here. Best decision I made for myself!
  5. I'm feeling great. Don't have any real issues with food - except I cannot tolerate EGGS in any form....which makes me sad. Down 30lbs but have had an impacted colon twice! On Miralax but not always helpful. I have not had any issues moving from phase to phase. Start "regular" foods tomorrow! I was sleeved on 3/7.
  6. The constipation is no joke. I'm struggling. Wish I had started on stool softeners right after surgery. I am in PAIN. It has been a miserable two days and I'm still hurting. I'm struggling to get the liquids (still on clear liquids) because i don't want to have to go to the bathroom.
  7. Sleeved yesterday. Went great. Up today, showered and did some shopping. Take the pain meds!! I slept pretty well and walking is the best so force yourself out of bed and get moving! We got this!!
  8. I leave tomorrow for my surgery. Very excited. Liquid diet wasn't as bad as I thought. Surgery day is Wednesday!
  9. I'm half way through Day 1 of liquid diet; so far so good....and I even survived my car dying on me this morning!
  10. Liquid diet starts tomorrow; I am one week out from surgery! Very excited and not really nervous!
  11. I start pre-op liquid diet on Wednesday. Any tips?
  12. I have a few homemade stocks frozen but I didn't want to do a bunch of freezing in case my stomach couldn't handle some of the items I froze. Some other sleevers have said that their tastes change a lot after the surgery so I didn't want to spend a lot of time making things that I wouldn't eat.
  13. I've only told one friend as well. I've done the shopping for the pre-op and post-op...feel like I should be doing something else! The waiting is hard I'm spending a lot of time building a Pinterest page for recipes, support blogs, motivation, exercises to help as I recover.
  14. March 7th! Very excited.
  15. I'm scheduled for March 7th! One month from today. So very excited!
