I had my surgery the 9th so two weeks ago and I feel like I am doing horrible. I am not eating three times a day I can only drink two Protein Shakes not three and I’m not even close to 64 oz of Water. I’m trying really hard to increase everything it’s just I feel full fast . Is this normal ? Should I be worried?

No worries! Perfectly normal. I’m 3 months post op and still can’t drink 64 oz. can’t and shouldn’t force food and Water into you. Things will get better I promise!

Totally normal, at two weeks I was barely getting 24 oz of liquid in and that was counting the morning shake. Don’t push it, take it at your own pace, you will start to notice that each day you can do a little more than the previous day :)

Hi,

You are doing great actually. Try not to sweat it. Almost 6 mo's post op, here. It will gradually change as far as your tolerance goes. You are still healing and it is normal. As you continue to heal ensure you keep track of your intake, especially Water. Fiber may be a good idea if your docs didnt mention it yet. 64 is just suggested at the start, they know you'll increase as healing allows. Hope that helps.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
