Keeping breakfast interesting

Recommended Posts

My question is to all the post op guys and gals out there. How are you keeping it inyerestung in your breakfast..... im one of the lucky few who doesnt do well with scrambled eggs so i learned that egg white omlettes are my very best friend but a guy can only eat so many egg white omlettes..... and recipes or ideas out there that youd be willing to share to help out? Keep in mind I work 8 to 5 everyday so cooking for 3 hours before i go to work isnt really an option.

Thanks guys and gals!

Just found a fun site for bariatric recipes, actually. There are some fun breakfasts here:)

https://www.bariatricfoodie.com/recipe-index/

My go-to Breakfast when I don't have time to cook is half a Premiere Protein caramel shake in a big mug of coffee with a wasa toast smeared with a tablespoon of Peanut Butter.

Cottage cheese is breakfast worthy. With a little fruit or salsa, it gets the protein grams in.

I'm a huge fan of no-sugar maple oatmeal packets with a few almonds or pecans, too.

I usually eat an egg white omelette, but keep it interesting by changing what's in it. Sausage and cheese are my go to's, but you can put all kinds of stuff in it. Turkey or ham are good, peppers or other veggies.

Otherwise Chobani Greek yogurt is quick and easy and comes in a lot of flavors.

My wife makes yogurt for me, both regular and greek. I usually throw a teaspoon of honey in there for a nice hint at sweet, or maybe a small spoon of some preserves. I do that and a couple cheese sticks, easy peasy.

I also use premiere Protein Shakes if I am running late and need to consume on my way to work.

I have also added Fairlife chocolate milk to my coffee in the morning to offset the Water deficit and get a little Protein in at the same time.

Monday through Friday I eat a greek yogurt every morning for breakfast and then have a Protein Shake about 1 1/2 hours later.

Weekends I am usually a little looser with my breakfast. I will have Cream of Wheat, turkey bacon and eggs, Protein Cereal, oatmeal

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
