I love the idea of this! There is so much we accomplish in small bouts and it all deserves to be celebrated!! I am getting sleeved tomorrow but I'm SUPER proud of myself for sticking to my pre-op diet while I was stranded in LA 3 days this week due to the storm on the east coast. Had to take an uber to the drug store to get Protein Drinks. lol.

Nice!!!

did you make it to your destination safely?

Way to go @brightfaith! You sound like you are setting yourself up for great success. I hope your journey goes well.

I'm 16 months out but remember trying to slog through those pre-op appointments. Hang in there. You got this.

Thank you so much for the encouragement! It really means a lot!

Today I went to put on a bra that was tight when I went in for surgery, and it was too big to put on!

I’m a month post-op and I needed that boost so much! All my back fat is going. I look in the mirror and I’m still feeling really far from my goal, but trying on the bra and seeing that huge difference was the boost I needed to know I’m definitely on track. I just wish a stranger would notice soon and say something.

Keep at it, the scale doesn’t always reflect how much your losing. I still feel swollen in my stomach - is that possible 5 weeks post-op?

I did thank you! Made it home Friday night just in time to give blood at the hospital to finish my pre-op screening. Today is the day!! Eek!

All the tops I was trying on looked weird on me and I was feeling discouraged (I hate shopping). I tried on a cute one I really liked on the hanger and thought it was boxy on me and a little slouchy in the waist. I complained to my friend, who took a look at me and said "Well duh, it's way too big." Turns out I am in a size small now and I had no idea. The small fit me perfectly and I am kind of excited to shop now!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
