As soon as you can! Even if you can't do full on raw veggies yet, you can do purees and maybe nut butters if you can handle it (early on I couldn't do much fat).

Never.

May I ask why you want to eat raw vegan instead of a mixed vegan diet?

I’ve been fully raw since the day of my surgery (12/19/18).

I have 2 shakes a day with a small amount of fruit, a quarter cup hemp seeds (10g Protein and good fatty acids) and 2 scoops (38g protein) of Sunwarrior raw/vegan/organic Protein Powder (https://goo.gl/uJx891).
I also have purée of various veggies and nuts (like raw sprouted cashews, hemp seeds or pine nuts, zucchini, sun-dried tomatoes, and basil, sea salt, etc.).

I haven’t figured out what I’m going to eat during the soft foods stage but I’ll figure out some good recipes.

The final stage will be easy (I think) as long as you play around with various foods to see what your system can handle.

I think I will be keeping up the protein smoothies forever.

My surgery was 12/19/17 not 12/19/18 (of course)

I also include juiced cucumber, celery, kale, baby spinach, sunflower sprouts, and parsley a couple times per day. You need a good masticating juicer but I think it’s worth the cost.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
