I'm just shy of 3 months out. 10/217 was my surgery day. I did pretty well for the first 8 weeks or so. For the last two weeks or so, I seem to be losing and gaining the same one or two pounds. I know I weigh too often. I need to stop doing that.

I do feel like I am shrinking. My clothing is almost falling off of me and everyone is commenting on my weight loss. I'm just not seeing in on the scale.

Would love to hear from anyone who has worked through this issue. I am trying to remain positive and focus on my Protein and Water.

You are definitely not alone. I've heard of the three week plateau and I did have a bit of a plateau at that time but it didn't last as long as this has.

I guess we just have to keep doing what we are doing and eventually the scale will catch up. Thank you for your response. Wishing you much success and a very Merry Christmas!

I wouldn't be too concerned right now. Your body is still recovering from the surgery. Just keep eating like you are supposed to and make sure you are getting your Water in.

I did that also and then it was like boom 15 pounds gone. Continue with your Water and Protein and stop weighing yourself. I know it’s easier said but your body is going threw changes and the scale doesn’t always reflect it.

I'm 4 months post op, all up I've lost 45 kg. (100 pounds).

I've had 2 major stalls of 2 -3 weeks. Each time I rebounded to have major losses.

I know its really frustrating but stalls are a normal part of the process, your body takes time to adjust.

Stick with your program and you will be fine.

I’ve hit a three week stretch before where I bounced around within 2 lbs. I never stopped weighing myself, but I tried to be scientific about it and ask myself: are you eating okay? Are you exercising? Are you sleeping? Are you stressed? I really focused on these 4 things at the beginning of my stall and ....I didn’t lose any weight for three weeks. There are some things that are up to us, and there are some things that are not. Good Luck!

I'm also about 3.5 months out and haven't really lost anything for a few weeks. I don't feel like I've changed much eating wise and I work out 6 days/week. However, I had a Lap-band for 10 years and was about this weight for 7 or 8 of them. I'm wondering if I'm dealing with a bit of "set point" issue here.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
