I'm 2 weeks post op on my vsg surgery. As Im watching TV all I see is food and I'm just devouring it in my thoughts! Is anyone going thru this?! I have cheated and maybe I should have not gotten this surgery bcuz I've already failed! I've had like 3 pieces of chips, drinking my Soup with chicken and a lil potatoes. However, I didn't over do it. It's just to taste. Is have lost 21 lbs since my surgery date on 11/20/17 but still afraid that I'm not going to lose as much bcuz of these hunger craves. I feel that I am depriving myself now and when that day comes of eating "anything" I will fail again! As much as I drink my Protein (which is hard to get them 70g in) and my Water and my puree/soft foods, I don't wanna gain weight or stop losing weight. I have heard that 6 months is the tops to stop losing weight. Is there anyone going thru this that can share any thoughts with me?

Thank you!

How are you doing now, 6 weeks later, my friend?

I hope your doing better. I could even think of eating that three weeks out. I had the bypass. The first solid food I had was about a month out, and that was a few bites of a boiled egg, it was way too soon. Good luck.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
