Starving in Evening

Recommended Posts

I feel so hungry between 7-10pm. Does anyone else notice their hunger increase severely during this time?

I feel hungry during the night hours...but after some investigation, I realized it wasn't true hunger. It was increased acid production that mimicked hunger.

I started taking one Ranitidine (a.k.a. Zantac) 150mg pill every evening and it solved the problem. I no longer feel the late night hunger or stomach growling sensation.

Ranitidine can be obtained at any Walmart, Target, grocery store or drugstore.

I do too, I generally eat my last meal pretty early (seriously like old lady blue plate special early) out of habit because I take care of an elderly parent and she likes to eat early. So by 7 I’m hungry! I try to ignore it. My doc says to try to eat a small meal or snack before going to bed but I really don’t like eating late.

They also told me it could be bile reflux and to try sucking on a lemon. I haven’t tried yet, I’m doing pretty good on just ignoring it.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
