Just sat threw my pre-op class, so I am 1 step closer to surgery on the 22nd. Not sure if I'm nervous or just ready for the surgery to happen and begin my new life.

You are almost there! I’m having surgery on Tuesday so I still have a a little ways to go.

So I go in for surgery on the 10th. My insurance company approved me for on day inpatient stay and said this is the average stay for gastric bypass. How long were you in the hospital?

My surgery (RNY) was on the 8th and I came home yesterday (10th) Day 2 was a rough one for me. I had lots of nausea and my mouth was so dry!!!! I think it was due to the IV pain meds because once they took me off of those and gave me oral pain meds I started to feel soooooo much better.
