Hello! How are you doing at the 5 month mark? What are your stats?

I’m doing great! I was doubting a lot whether to have the surgery or not, but couldn’t be more happy right now [emoji1] It’s an adjustment for sure, but definitely for the better!

My stats are
HW 110,1 kg // 242,2 lbs
CW 81,0 kg // 178,2 lbs
GW 65,0 kg // 143,0 lbs
(Height 168cm // 5’6”)

Xx

I’m worried about not being recovered fully. I only have a month break then I go back to classes!

Thanks [emoji5] Yes, I work out 6-8 times a week, but don’t worry, that is seriously overkill. I just want to try and get my body as tight as possible (to try and prevent loose skin) and I want to get to GW as quick as possible (plus I actually LOVE working out [emoji28]).

I think a month will be enough to recover physically. For me, the only problem was that I needed a lot sleep, because my energy was low. So, you’re probably going to need some naps or a good night’s sleep to get through the day, but that’s about it [emoji1377][emoji882]

I need to be doing the same as you! My SW is 283 and GW is healthy. I originally said 183 but I think I’m going to say 160 because everyone says you bounce back up after you’re done 10lbs.

After reading this forum though I realize my GW is actually pretty high. I guess because the smelled weight I remember is 193 and I felt fine then. Is it wierd I’m worried about getting too small? Lol

Well, I didn't face any serious problems. But for me, it was a little bit complicated to do homework because I wanted just to have a rest and not to study, and I couldn't concentrate. But my professors were understandable, and I could send something a little later, after the deadline. And everyone helped me, especially my groupmates. When I was writing one paper about birth control ( it was a philosophy course, so you can understand that it was complicated), they even offered to write it for me. But as a result, a friend of mine sent me this source https://studydriver.com/birth-control-essay/ where I just read provided there birth control essay examples and managed to write my own one. And I think that was the most difficult day for me, and the rest were pretty fine. Aslo, maybe it was morally hard to go out with friends because of obvious reasons, but after two or three times, I got used to the new life.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
