Had my sleeve done Monday the 6th by Dr. Fernando Garcia Govea at Hospital CER via Tijuana Bariatrics. Honestly, I was so nervous beforehand that I truly believed I made the wrong choice. However, after everything was said and done I believe it was a great choice. The hospital was cleanly (honestly, I don't know what I was expecting), but it was way above my expectations. I honestly haven't felt the urge to really explore Tijuana though. I don't really have the energy, lol. How long did it take everyone to be 100% and ready to return to work?

I returned to work after 2 weeks and was still a bit sore and drained as my work has me on my feet most of the day. Ideally I would have taken 3 wks as that was really when I started to feel “normal” again. It gets appreciably better each day post op. Congrats and happy healing!

Online work in 60-75 minute sessions: just five days.

Home-visits/Office-visits (10 mins drive; 50 mins interview; 10 mins drive home): 8th or 9th day

Full-sessions at business premises): (10 mins drive; 4 hrs work; 10 mins drive home: 12th day

(Today, noon on Thursday 9th Nov in eastern Australia, I am now 28th day post surgery and I have one home visit today followed by a 70 minute online interview with a continuing client who's easy to work with.)

I would wait till energy levels stabilize which usually are when you can get some solid foods in your body at 4 weeks. First 3 to 4 weeks for me I have low energy and got some dizzy spells where I almost fainted. I didnt go back to work for 8 weeks, but I have a much more physical type of job than most.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
