Is there anything I can drink to clean me out and maybe do like a reboot? So I can work on shrinking my stomach some more. Any idea how I can go about this?

I'm not sure what specifics are going on in your situation. Are you pre - op? How far out from surgery are you? Are you having a stall or weight gain?

Pre op. Not so sure you can do anything to make your stomach smaller.

If this is a stall. Look up breaking the stall on this site. Stalls are normal.

If you feel your stomach may be stretched, contact your surgeon's office. Many arguments out there about the ability of stretching your surgery . I won't touch on that.;)

Clean you out? I've heard of people doing a diet cleanse to start over a diet. Look into it if you feel it will be beneficial to you.

It's normal to be able to eat more as you get further out from surgery. The restriction is still there. It's just different.

Kind of a reboot is going back through a liquid or soft food stage for a week... Helps to notice the volume you are able to hold and where you feel restriction at this point of your surgery. Go back to bariatric basics to continue weight loss

I still log my food. I eat high Protein andI add as much veggies as I want. It helps me to feel full. It keeps my calories down and my weight loss is back on track.

Hope you are doing well,

Jenn

I had my surgery Aug 29th 2017. I started at 299 day of surgery was 271 I am now 233. I am at a stall and I feel like my stomach is stretched some. But when I eat fruit it kinda effects my stomach and when I drink milk it hurts kinda. I'm just confused that's all and I'm scared I'm gonna screw up everything I've done so far.

Three months out is about when everybody hits a little bit of a stall. You are doing a great job. If drinking milk hurts, don't do it. You could be a bit lactose intolerant right now. That may pass. I don't know that I would be eating fruit three months out. Are your meeting your Protein and Water goals? Are you exercising? All of those make a difference. I went through a stall at about the same time and my measurements were changing when the scale wasn't so - maybe that's what's going on. Ride it out. Work your plan and it will work for you. Maybe change up your routine - if you've been eating alot of chicken, switch to fish. Have a shake every morning if you have been doing something else for Breakfast. Decrease your calories a smidge or increase your exercise a smidge. Small changes can make big differences.

I am exercising and I am on my feet all day. I am a hair stylist in a very busy salon it's always non stop. I usually start my morning off with a premier protien bar or a lean 1 snickerdoodle shake which is 30 or 25g Then I take a New Whey liquid protien shot which is 42g. Usually during the day I'll eat a cheese rectangle which is 14g and the only meat I eat now is either chicken, salmon, tuna, or turkey. For Water i usually drink about 2 to 3 bottles and 1 or 2 Lipton diet green tea bottles. For a snack I'll have protien chips or Greek yogurt or something in that nature. I do always feel like I'll eat and like a hr later my stomach feels empty it's weird. I'm just doing this alone and I'm just so sacred I'm gonna mess it up. My kids are being a great support they r 10 and 6 and they have changed their eating habits and encourage me to go to the gym in my apartment complex and stuff like that.. sometimes I feel like when I eat dinner or lunch that I'm eating too much so I stop myself. Idk I'm just nervous i guess. I feel like I should be losing more. My clothes r fitting looser and people are telling me in losing so much but I guess I'm in denial.

Your stomach hasn't even fully healed at three months out. It is still partly swollen and will continue to "relax" and you will be able to fit more in as the swelling goes down. That's not stretching.

Follow your program. Mine is Protein first and fruit only if I have room after protein and veggies.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
