November sleevers here

Weight loss is relative

Obviously someone heavier is going to lose more weight/faster than someone who weighs 150 pounds less than them. Not to mention not all weight loss is the same, if you have a higher body fat vs lower body fat (could have the same height and weight), or if you lose lean body mass etc.

Going purely off of pounds is silly (and by silly I mean stupid)

I'm not sure where you started, but are you hitting your Protein and Water goals? Getting all your Vitamins? How many times do you eat and how much? I would also discuss with your doctor/nutrientionist to see if there are ways you could help. But congrats on losing 25lbs so far!!!

Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

My starting weight was 300. Currently I'm at 275 two months post-op. I must admit I need to do a better job of getting in the Protein sources, and the dietician suggested I bump up my calorie intake another 100 calories and avoid carbs. I'll Work on it. Good luck to everyone and thanks for the encouragement.

So I keep thinking about this post since the other day when I said I had 60 pounds in 60 days. After talking to my wife about it, wondering why my numbers are so different - she helped me remember that the 60 includes my 20lbs of pre-surgery weight loss from the liver reduction diet. So I am actually 60lbs in 74 days if you add those 2 weeks in. Now I don't feel so much of an anomaly.

EDIT: Just wanted to update you and let you know my doc/NUT approved of these; my NUT even subscribed after I showed her lol.
I have and I was sleeved on 11/8, but I don't do exercises that are "stomach/ab focused" (if that makes any sense lol).
I just go on my eliptical machine (found a great deal on Craig's List) and upper-body focused workouts from Youtube. I love the XHIT channel and Rebecca Louise's channel. The workouts are quick but get you burning quick. I've been doing arms every day for the past 4 days and I have already noticed quite the difference in the "Bingo Wings" (under arm/tricep area) and my upper back (no more camel hump). Here are the two I do every morning after I wake up and stretch. However, I modify the ones where you get on the ground b/c I'm not too comfortable with that yet, I just do curls during those parts:

How heavy are the weights you use for these exercises?

Has anyone tried these Protiwise wafers? A friend recommended them to me but I'm wary of ordering things I've never tasted before.

My bariatric surgeon has a little shop in their office, and they sell these (albeit rebranded). I tried the chocolate ones. I found them very delicious, but not at all filling. Given that I can only eat 900 calories a day at the stage I'm at, it didn't make much sense for me to regularly eat a fifth of my daily calories on something that wasn't filling at all. I wound up giving them to my diabetic mom,who also absolutely loves them! If you have the willpower to make them a "sometimes" food, id recommend giving them a try.

Finally out of the 260s and into the 250s - weighed in at 259.8 on Saturday. I was stuck at 260.5 for three weeks! Stalls are so frustrating but I have to remember that they're a part of this experience and not to get so hung up on numbers, just how I feel.

I can't believe it - last week, I graduated, a full month early!! I went in for my 2 month checkup with the surgeon and they took me off all my dietary restrictions!! They were shocked with how well I was doing on Water and Protein intake and could not believe how much weight and size I have lost. Given my current intake numbers, they said there was no need to restrict my diet due to textures or content. That being said, I still need to be smart and keep all my foods in the guidelines if I can - but I have the freedom to eat what is available and not worry so much if there is a carb content, or sugar content. I was very careful to avoid starchy vegetables, almost all carbs, starches, and sugars.I was very strict on myself these past 2 months, but it paid off!

I have not gone hog wild by any means - I still try to keep in the guidelines per serving of being: at least 15g of protein, 20g or less of total carbs (10 or less being sugar), 10g or less of total fat. You want to meet or beat at least 2 of the 3 numbers (meaning more protein, or less carb/sugar, or less fat). That being said - being able to take a bite of a sandwich is amazing, but then I end up stripping the good stuff out and skipping the bread. It is just too filling with no benefit.

I have noticed a drastic difference that if I eat carbs, how fast I get hungry before my next meal. I still keep to my 5-6 meal times a day only (wake up food or drink depending on time, then 9a, 12p, 3p, 6p, 9p). No snacking or grazing at any other time. I always make sure to eat the Proteins first if I have a mixed meal as well. Proteins first, then Fiber, then last is carbs. I do not drink 30 mins before or 30 mins after I eat.

In total, I have lost over 35 inches and over 60 lbs. I still weigh myself daily. I do measurements and photos weekly and log them. It really is amazing going back and seeing the difference over each of the weeks. The past couple weeks the visible difference has not been as great week to week, but crazy noticeable going back a month or more.

I can't wait to see what the next year brings!

Unless you need something on the go, doesn't make a lot of sense to me. They seem relatively expensive with just OK macros.

You'd be better off making some homemade Protein concoction. Mugcake protein fluff etc

Thank you everyone for your well wishes! I totally forgot I wrote an update here... I'm one week post op today. I gained 15 lbs in water weight overnight because they had to give me tons of fluids to bring my BP up after surgery! I stayed one night in the hospital. Everything has been fine except I seem to have picked up a bug while I was there and I've been running a low grade fever, coughing, and a sore throat. So I've been hydrating well and sleeping a ton. So far the Covid tests are negative.
I haven't been able to advance my diet past purees. Everything I eat other than tofu makes me choke and feels like trying to swallow rocks. They warned me it would get worse before it gets better, so lets hope this is all normal. I have my follow up on Monday so we'll see. Living on shakes and soup again is not fun. I had enough of them the first time!! LOL

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
