We are on the same path:
SW:267
VSG date:7/10/17
Surgery weight: 252
Now:209
After losing so rapidly in months one and two it's hard to accept the slow, but consistent loss on month three. Still following my plan to a "T". Most days my Breakfast consists of a Premier Protein shake mixed with Decaf coffee. I actually love it. It satisfies my sweet tooth. Congrats on your weight loss! You are doing great! Don't let the stalls get you down.

Thanks for sharing! Love that we’re so similar in our paths. As far as the stall, I refuse to beat myself up over weight any longer. I look at it as my body’s break before another losing run. I have embraced that this a marathon, not a sprint.
I look for to hearing from you again!

Your mental approach to stalls is spot on. As far as the "body's break before another losing run", my weight loss pattern is a prime example of this. For the last month or so my weight stays consistent or fluctuates by a few ounces Tuesday through Friday of every week. The scale only goes down on Saturday, Sunday, and sometimes Monday. It's crazy how that pattern has been so consistent. I can only speculate, but I think it may have something to do with the fact that I get more sleep on the weekends. Who knows!

Hi guys, I had surgery on 7/14. My highest weight was 228 and I am now 193. In total I've lost 35 lbs.

I need to be better about what I am putting in my body. I need to eat better even though I can't eat much.

Looks like you are all doing amazingly. Here's my progress pic so far. I wish I took more before photos...I didn't take any, this is just one I have that someone took.

Almost 9 months post op for us July 2017 sleevers! Anyone still checking in here? I’m down 109 pounds and feeling spectacular. I’ve surpassed my goal of 160 pounds. Think I’m going to aim for 150 and strive to keep my weight between 150 and 160 for the long term. It feels very strange to be at a point where I really don’t need to lose any more weight. I haven’t been at that point for years. If I’m not obsessed with losing weight, what will I be obsessed with?!

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.
