I am so sorry for the negativity you've felt.

Conversely, if another poster "comes at you" in a negative manner, you've only emboldened the person by lashing back at him/her. You've just informed the poster that he/she got to your head.

Internet trolls love to spread negativity. They love peoples' meltdown reactions even more. Don't give them the satisfaction of letting them see you sweat. Just ignore...

Also, some people interpret bluntness as negativity. A blunt, no-nonsense post is not always synonymous with negativity. Some people only want warm, fuzzy responses that reinforce their bad choices (e.g., "You ate a whole pizza? Don't you worry 'bout a thing. Everything's gonna be alright!").

Good luck to you, and again, don't let people see you sweat. :)

I would argue that in some instances, negativity is a good thing and that it can be crucial to have a balance. If all you want is people blowing sunshine up your butt, that can have negative consequences. Sometimes, we need to face hard truths which are the key to achieving success with our programmes. We have to face these hard truths to change the habits that caused us to need this surgery in the first place.

You want REAL positivity? Use the feedback, both positive and "negative" to take your surgery further and achieve your goals!

Just block people. My block list is a mile long. I don't care. These people are just fonts on screen, you don't have to deal with them unless you want to. There are too many people who are genuinely trying to connect and seek support to bother with the crazies on here.

Well I truly appreciate this thread. I agree I did kind of go off on people but at the time I was in sooo much pain I just wanted someone to say it's ok. I always tried be genuine and raw. My aunt and best friend is getting this surgery and I want to be the best example I can be. So again thank you so much and I have nothing but love and support for you.

And I'm just like you. I never met you in my life so to think someone is gonna cyber bully me into thinking that I'm dumb for the way I'm feeling they are absolutely out of their mind. People don't understand there is no difference between me on the internet and off. People get all scared when the other person speaks back and defend themselves. Sorry that was a little rant but I understand

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
