You've lost more than I have. I'm 9 weeks out and only down 40 pounds. Not sure what I'm doing wrong to be losing so slowly 🤔.
Anyway, congratulations on the weight loss, stalls are normal from what I hear. I also know what you mean about not being able to see it, as I don't myself either. Have you done a before picture and a progress pic? Maybe a side by side would help. Keep up the good work! =D

I guess I just don't feel like it's the norm, I see lots of posts where people are like super rapidly losing and have made more progress, but I know I shouldn't compare. Hard not to sometimes. I'm happy about the loss, just get a little worried that I'm not where I should be?

Don't forget that you may be gaining body mass. That will affect your actual scale numbers, but at the same time, your body fat % should also be going down, so that is fine and good for your metabolism.

How much weight did you lose at 9 weeks I only lost 64

You've lost 64 pounds in a little more than 2 months out. You're doing better than most. When is the last time you lost 64 pounds in 9 weeks via diet and exercise? I'm sure the answer is "Never."

As a comparison point, it took me a whopping 8 months to lose 64 pounds. You lost 64 pounds in less than 3 months, whereas it took me 8 months to accomplish that. Yet, I'm not complaining.

Realistic expectations are important. You didn't become morbidly obese overnight, so the weight is not going to melt off overnight, either. What matters is changing your habits to maintain the weight loss for life. There's no point in losing weight like a house on fire if you backslide into old habits and start regaining.

Good luck to you. :)

It took me 4 months to lose 40 pounds, yet I'm not griping. Your weight loss journey is a marathon, not a sprint. Slow and steady wins the race, while fast and crass won't last.

The final result is more important than the speed at which we lose the weight. I've lost 100 pounds, attained my goal weight, and have managed to keep the weight off. That's what's important.

Good luck to you. :)

I lost 24# in 8 weeks and I am over the moon. I can't remember when the last time was that I lost 12 # a month?

The greatest part though is how good I feel. I haven't felt this healthy in probably 10 years. I have ditched 2 diabetes medications and I am looking forward to my morning runs. I never thought I would ever be saying these things.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
