Hi. I'm new to the forum. I'm in Perth and have just booked my appointments with the psychologist, physician, dietitian and surgeon for August-September.

I've got no idea what to expect at the appointments!

Great to see a recent reply from Perth on this thread!

I'm new too and from Perth and am booked in for the end of October. I'm excited to get this all underway! I had to push my surgery date back, they wanted to schedule me in for early September but that was too quick to get the leave at work booked in, in time. So things move nicely and I'm sure you'll find the same!

I'm already making changes in my lifestyle pre-op like going hiking over the weekend and eating smaller meals (even avoiding dessert at my family's birthday dinner!) [emoji5][emoji5][emoji5]

Yup, I decided to do the same so then after the surgery people won't see me drastically change my habits. I'm trying to avoid making it so obvious that something is up. I don't want to attract questions.

Exactly! That's really good to hear. I think it's a good way to get your head around the lifestyle change as well! [emoji846]

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
