Baltimore, anyone?

Recommended Posts

Hi there! I will be having sleeve surgery in the fall. I've been very lucky to connect with some wonderful mentors, but I would also love to have some buddies who are in a similar stage of the of the process. I'm in Baltimore, and it would be great to have a local buddy, but you don't have to be.

Thanks! :)

I am in southern Maryland. I'm waiting on insurance approval. It seems to be taking forever.

Hi all I'm in MD right outside of DC. I'm scheduled for a gastric bypass 7/11. I'm about to start my liquid diet. It's getting real now. I can't wait to have a new beginning and healthy me.

I'm in the Baltimore area with a July 11th surgery date. It's been a long process to this point and can't believe it's about to happen. Starting the liquid diet next week...eek!!!

Oh my goodness! It's coming up so soon! Are you having surgery at Hopkins?

I hear you! I am about halfway through the 7 months of weight management that my insurance requires. Today I had an upper endoscopy. I should have everything checked off the list by early September, and then hopefully I will be approved.

I'm also going to be at Bayview. Who was your husband's surgeon (if you don't mind me asking)?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
