4 1/2 Weeks post op. Workout suggestions??

Recommended Posts

Surgery date was May 3rd 2017

Highest weight 249

Day I went home from surgery I weighed 230

Today I weight 212

First picture was before surgery in April. 2nd picture was from 2 days ago.

I can see progress and clothes are getting too big but I don't feel like the weight it coming off as quick as it is for others?

I walk everyday but I'm starting to go to the gym tomorrow. Any workout suggestions?? IMG_1277.JPG

If you don't lift, do light weights or body weights. Find a trainer, if needed, that will cater to you starting out. Weights will obviously put some muscle on and it will also change your physique too, in a great way. I'm starting my 4th week post op (surgery 5/15) and was cleared for body and light weights. Are you cleared for such?

Also, this is your journey, try not compare yourself to anyone else's. We're all at different builds, heights, lifestyles, etc. with that said, you look awesome! Good job for your loss. Keep it up!

You look amazing. I just had surgery on Wed but they didn't weigh me in the hospital. I'm still trying to get my fluids in. Still having alot of pain and gas. I was thinking that once I'm feeling better and cleared for increased activity I would join a gym and use some targeted why machines to tighten certain areas asI lose weight such as abd and thighs.

Thank you guys!!

So happy for all of us!
Those gas pains are no joke! Mine lasted for about 2 1/2 weeks after surgery and it was unbearable!
Good thing is that they eventually go away. Lol

Just spoke to my surgeon and was cleared to do anything I would like to do. [emoji33] So exciting. Not sure where to start.
But I did join a gym and I plan to be there at least 5 days a week.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
